Police officers and officers of the Federal Border Guard travel free of charge
Police officers of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia as well as officers of the Federal Border Guard may travel free of charge by bus, train and DB local transport trains (economy class) in the VRS when wearing their uniform.
Severely disabled persons travel free of charge
In the entire Rhein-Sieg transport association severely disabled persons travel free of charge by bus and train.
Prerequisite, however, is the possession of a severely handicapped subcription plus valid token. This subscription is not available from the transport companies, but can exclusively be obtained from the competent pension office of the respective person. Ask your pension office!
Calling taxis in the evening hours
Many VRS partner companies offer their passengers a taxi-call-service in the evenings.
With this service you can have the train operators or bus drivers call a taxi by radio that will pick you up at your selected stop.

Stop on request from 8 pm onwards
Some VRS partner companies offer their passengers a so-called stop by request for the bus line operation.
With this service it is possible to get off in between the usual stops in the evening hours, generally from 8 pm onwards. Please tell your driver your requested stop in time.
